Con la crisi economica si allunga troppo velocemente e tragicamente la catena dei suicidi e questo terrificante fatto ci fa pensare al verso dell'Apocalisse: "In quei giorni gli uomini cercheranno la morte, ma non la troveranno; brameranno morire, ma la morte li fuggirà.” (Apocalisse 9)

Assisi di notte – nella città "Patrimonio Mondiale dell'Umanità" ma soprattutto patrimonio mondiale di Spiritualità è avvenuto qualcosa di particolare che in questi tempi tanto travagliati le fa onore. Ecco in una poesia di un anonimo descritto il fatto:

ERA UN VESPASIANO

C’era un luogo per urinare
ed ora c’è per pregare.
L’urina andava sotto terra,
le preghiere come incenso salgono al cielo.
Quando i conventi, i monasteri e le chiese dormono
in questo luogo c’è chi prega.
Così Assisi non è mai muta davanti a Dio
e la sua anima respira sempre.

IT WAS AN URINAL

There was a place for urination
and now there is one for praying.
The urine went under the earth,
the prayers like incense rise to heaven.
While convents, monasteries and churches sleep

La crisi è finita, dice Monti! Altri dicono che finirà nel 2013. La profezia avuta da Marcello Ezechiele Ciai nel 1995 dice:
"L'economia crollerà e gli operai resteranno sgomenti". "Nulla di buono faranno: nè chi è in testa, nè chi è in coda".
Staremo a vedere. Ma in un'altra profezia del 1981 si legge: "Ravvedetevi finchè siete in tempo!".

E negli ultimi tempi per il moltiplicarsi dei terremoti, degli incendi e delle alluvioni aumentano vertiginosamente.

Oggi la marea nera e le nubi radioattive s'incontrano per una morsa mortale sulla terra.
In migliaia di coste si trova nascosto petrolio e la memoria dell'acqua fa il resto. Le nubi radioattive circolano sopra la terra e la pioggia fa il resto.
Che sarà di questa nostra terra al cui dramma si aggiungono guerre e profughi?
Chi ha fede come noi aspetta nuovi cieli e nuova terra come sta scritto nella Bibbia nella seconda lettera del primo Papa:
2 Pietro 3,13 - E poi, secondo la Sua promessa, noi aspettiamo nuovi cieli e una terra nuova,
nei quali avrà stabile dimora la giustizia.

Today the black tide and the radioactive clouds meet for a mortal grip on the earth.
In thousands of coasts one can find hidden petroleum and the water's memory does the rest. The radioactive clouds circulate over the earth and the rain does the rest. What shall be with this our earth to whose drama are added wars and refugees?
Who has faith as we do waits for new heavens and a new earth just as it is written in the Bible in the second letter of the first Pope:
2 Peter 3,13 - But, in accordance with His promise, we wait for new heavens and a new earth,
where righteousness is at home.
